Biography

Leo was an all-star at Kalamazoo Central and then at Western Normal (now Western Michigan Unv). At 300 lbs he played center and was captain of the Hilltoppers, as Western's team was then called, during its unbeaten, untied, unscored-upon season of 1922. He was selected to Western's 75 year anniversary team in 1978 and is a member of the WMU Athletic Hall of Fame.
