Biography

US record company that was established in 1957. It was the parent company of the United Artists Records label. The company was acquired in May 1967 by Transamerica Corporation and merged into Liberty/U.A. INC. around 1969. After a major restructuring, United Artists Records Inc. was re-established in 1971. In 1974 it was succeeded by United Artists Music And Records Group, Inc. Also credited as “UAR, Inc.” For a full list of songs, see the company's discogs page.
