Lexicon Music, Inc. was US music publishing company, affiliated to ASCAP. Also often credited as Record Company and Copyright holder.

It was founded in 1966 by Ralph Carmichael as a joint venture with the Waco, Texas-based label Word (parent company: Word Records, Inc.).

In 1966, Carmichael made a proposal to Word’s Jarrell McCracken to partner with him in a joint venture to create a new contemporary Christian label and a music publishing company. McCracken accepted the idea, and Light Records and Lexicon Music, Inc. were born. Carmichael, who lives in Southern California, would provide the music; Lexicon Music, Inc. and Word Records, Inc. in Waco, Texas, the publishing and distribution.
