Biography

Lockshore Dairy Farm was in Kalamazoo Michigan. In a pamphlet from the farm, it boasts of the use of their Guernsey cattle. It also provides a brief snapshot of the process behind their milk production. It promotes its homogenized Vitamin D Milk and its “Golden Guernsey” milk.

Lockshore Farms’ main building, which was a combined plant, office, and store was located at the corner of Park and Ransom (606 N. Park Street) in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Lockshore Farms gave up ownership of this building in the late 1970s. The business was started in 1925 by R. F. Locke at a farm in Cressey, Michigan (now Prairieville).

The farm still operates today, and is located in Hickory Corners, Michigan.
