Biography

According to the International Movie Database, Allison Intrieri is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. From a young age she was involved in the Pittsburgh Playhouse Theatre. She attended Carnegie Mellon University for their Pre-College Theatre Arts Program. Allison went on to major in English with a focus in Creative Writing: Poetry at Loyola, Chicago. She was on the editorial board of Cadence (Loyola's Literary Journal) and won the Francis P. Lawyler Award twice for Poetry. She read one of her award winning poems with Robert Haas, the Poet Laureate of the United States. After graduating Loyola, Allison moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in TV writing. She is known for writing episodes of the legal drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Her poems have been published in Parting Gifts, a project of March Street Press.
