Biography
William J. Kowalski was an assistant vice president for facilities engineering at Western Michigan University. A retired U.S. Marine Corps colonel, Kowalski joined the WMU staff in 1966 as director of campus planning and retired in 1985 as assistant vice president for facilities engineering. His involvement included 43 major construction projects on campus with a combined original cost of $69 million for new facilities, renovation, additions and remodeling.
