Biography

Navy Commander Norman D. Champlin was a 1941 graduate of Western Michigan College of Education. Champlin reported for duty at the Naval Air Development Center, Johnsville, Pennsyvania and held the Navy Cross, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross and five Air Medals. Retired in 1972 at the rank of Captain.
