Biography

J.D. Whitney was born in California, raised there and in Detroit. He is a poet and emeritus professor of English at the University of Wisconsin. His numerous published books/chapbooks of poetry include, All My Relations (Many Voices Press), Grandmother Says (Arctos Press), and Sweeping the Broom Shorter: Selected Poems 1964-2014 (Longhouse).

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The collection is housed in 136 boxes (the first 135 labeled by Bixby himself) which document the creative output of March Street Press between 1992 until 2009.
