Scope and Contents
This collection is comprised of the working papers of Father Chrysogonus Waddell, OCSO. It includes microfilms, microfiches, mimeographs, photographs and photocopies of manuscript leaves and secondary sources consulted in Waddell's research on Cistercian liturgy and observances. There are also transcriptions of manuscripts, typescripts of articles published by Father Waddell, correspondence concerning various texts, listings of Cistercian liturgical manuscripts. Additionally, it contains draft descriptions of manuscripts belonging to the Dom Edmond Obrecht Gethsemani Abbey Collection, which is held on permanent loan at Western Michigan University Libraries' Special Collections Department via the Center for Cistercian and Monastic Studies, and other items related to Waddell's scholarship.
