(Aristotle's Organon, written by Damianus Guidotes, from San Francesco della Vigna, Venice; a Greek Gospel Lectionary of 1655, written by Joasaph; a twelfth-century Armenian Gospels from Antioch and a fifteenth-century Armenian Gospels from Melitene; French, Italian and Flemish miniatures, including examples by Simon Bening and the Prayerbook Master of c.1500; an English thirteenth-century Psalter, in the original binding; a Book of Hours of York Use; an English MS. of Bede; manuscripts from the Cistercian Abbeys of Pontigny and Val-Notre-Dame; a good Italian thirteenth-century Bible; and a fine Parisian Bible of c.1300; illuminated Books of Hours from Artois, Rouen and Paris; sixteenth-century Spanish Grants of Arms; the Dartmouth Hours, with 27 miniatures, c.1440-50; the St. Cyprian of Matthias Corvinus, King of Hungary and Bohemia; one of five known manuscripts of the prose version of Deguileville's Pelerinage de Vie humaine, from the Library of Charlotte of Savoy, Queen of France, illustrated by a follower of the Master of King Rene.)
