Scope and Contents
Vol. 1, No. 1. Includes a "From the Editors" page of a future, undated, Life magazine laid in. Article titled, "Time and Life: Two famous siblings in Henry Luce's family of magazines go into business together" describes the work of Henry Luce, who was editor at the time of the original 1936 publication.
Magazine also has a newspaper clipping taped to the inside of the front cover from the Chicago Tribune, Sunday, June 15, 1986; section 14, page 39. Article titled, "Personal side looks out of focus in biography of Life photographer" describes the work of Margaret Bourke-White. Her work appeared on the cover of the original 1936 publication. Includes U.S. Postage stamp of the cover photograph, in plastic.
