Scope and Contents
This is a collection of correspondence, brochures, greeting cards, postcards, illustrated folios, etc. produced by or relating to Arion, Bergamot, Black Sparrow, Bloodroot, Janus, Kat Ran, Ninja, Sutton Hoo and many other American fine presses which were operating in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries.

Language of Materials
Ephemera and documents from numerous American fine presses of the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. Samples of presswork from Arion, Bergamot, Black Sparrow, Bloodroot, Janus, Kat Ran, Ninja, Sutton Hoo and many more presses.
Both Series 1 and Series 2 are organized alphabetically by press name or printer.

The Fine Press Ephemera Collection consists of 5 archival boxes (approx. 2.25 linear feet). It is divided into two series: Series 1 covers the first four boxes and is an archive of American fine presswork. It includes printing samples, correspondence and other documents. Series 2 is contained in the fifth and final box of the Fine Press Ephemera Collection. It is a small sub-collection of ephemera (primarily cards, brochures and letterpress printing samples of various fonts), which was donated to WMU Libraries by the Kalamazoo-based Rarach Press.
