Printed in black and white, the diagrams come with two notes from Woodhull; the first note says that she could see this picture as a cover for her chapbook, while the second note indicates which part she wants to use as a back cover.

The first title page comes with a drawing made by Woodhull's husband to connect it to the title. The second title page is pictureless, but Woodhull states in a note that it could have a colored background or use colored paper.

Letter states that the copy of Woodhull's manuscript for Goldfish and Black Pearls is her completed version. Letter comes with a slip of paper that serves as a mini-contract, with Woodhull stating that all the poems found in her chapbook are hers and that Bixby and March Street Press will not be sued. Printed on the back is a poem by Woodhull titled "Thinking of Words" and there is a line drawn through the poem.

Letter states that Woodhull switched up the order of the poems and substituted 5 of the original poems with newer work. The letter is written on grid paper in red marker.

Letter states that Bixby is fine with using Caslon font for Woodhull's chapbook and that he needs the release papers for the poems published in the chapbook.

The letter is regarding Woodhull's desire to put a lot of space in her book and how she has attached Frank Bidart's table of contents and a poem to give an example of the kind of space she wants. Also, Woodhull is also curiously if authors can pay extra to have different paper for the cover. Letter comes with an envelope addressed to Bixby, the table of contents of a Frank Bidart's chapbook, and Bidart's poem "Adolescence".

Note is regarding how Woodhull removed a poem from her chapbook, leaving it at 24 poems rather than 25.

Envelope has printed-on address to Anne Woodhull and a stamp placed in the corner, but there is nothing inside the envelope and it looks like it was never sent.

Manuscript is missing the last 3 poems of Woodhull's chapbook

Not entirely clear who wrote the note (had to look it up in a later letter), note is asking why this is at a standstill and if it is OK to go foreward with it.
