She also mentions her husband Arnold stationed overseas, the birth of her son Arnold, expresses sympathy concerning Merze's nephew, and thanking Merze for gifts to Frances Jean. The letters date roughly from January 1945 to December 1951. Other ephemera includes holiday greeting cards, a portrait postcard of Frances Jean at one year, photographs of Frances Jean and her brother Anorld Maloney (born 1946?), and a thank you card remarking on Tate's lecture given in December 1951.
