Biographical / Historical
In 1883 the Ladies Library Association was the first group to try to bring a library to the Niles community, they set up a reading room and lending library in a local office. An attempt was made to verify the name and spelling of the sender but no information could be found.

Physical Description
The card is 3” x 5” in size. It card is in good condition with a small tear and creasing on the bottom corner. The card is made of some kind of cardstock.
On one side of the card is a note written in ink to Mrs. Randall from Mrs. W. I. Babeuch, President of the Ladies Library Association, requesting Mrs. Randall’s presence at an upcoming meeting of the Executive Committee on February 1st where important business would be discussed.
On the opposite side the card is addressed to Mrs. Ed Randall and stamped with the US Postal Card symbol, the date, and a once cent stamp. There is also a faded recipe written in pencil beneath the address and the stamps.
