Emily Powell Collection
Scope and Contents
The collection is composed of items found in a Bible, called a Cottage Bible. The genealogy in the Bible is from a family that lived in Cass County, mostly in Pokagon Township. Also included are programs for the Pokagon Township Sunday School Association for 1889 and 1898. It appears that the Bible may have come from Cass County. Two of the names listed in the genealogy, Elijah and Betsy Houck are found in the 1860 Census living in Pokagon Township. The other names were not found yet. The Sunday School brochures also come from Pokagon Township.
