The collection contains letters exchanged between friends and family in the Southwestern region of Michigan, including cities such as Grand Rapids, Hastings, Berrien Springs, Niles, Kalamazoo, and others. There appears to be no correlation between the senders and recipients of the letters, but some of the names addressed relate to our other collections, including Murray Page.

Physical Description
The collection amounts to 0.5 cubic feet contained in one full-sized Hollinger box with folders comprised of letters exchanged between family members and friends.
The letters are written on various sized paper mostly 8 ½” x 11” or smaller. The correspondence includes lined sheets, blank paper, birthday and Christmas cards, and stationary sheets from various locations. A majority of the letters have corresponding envelopes, which are kept together with clips. Most of the collection is in good condition, however, a few of the letters have worn creases and/or edges and some of the handwriting is difficult to read.
