Sheffer Family Reunion Book
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of one composition book with reports of the Sheffer Family Reunion, a family from Southwest Michigan dating back as early as 1886. The contents of the book are reports written by the yearly rotating secretary in charge of the Sheffer Reunions and included information such as what happened, who attended, and any significant/important events.

Biographical / Historical
There is not much known about the Sheffer family at this current time. What is known is that the family lived in various counties throughout Southwest Michigan. The family reunions first began in 1886 and continued on for another 64 years holding yearly gatherings where the family would tell stories, share photographs, and get to know new members of the family. The book contains several names of members of the Sheffer family and there are ways to find more information on the family through these names.

Physical Description
The condition of the book is fair; there is slight tearing along the edge of the pages of the book, many of the pages show signs of yellowing, and some parts of the book are not attached to the spine. The book is all handwritten in either pencil or blue and black ink and is mostly legible as the earlier entries are beginning to fade. The title of the composition book is as followed: “Sheffer Reunion Composition Book” “Secretary Book of Sheffer Reunions”. The size of the book is 7” x 8.5”.
