Biographical / Historical
Both performances took place on the last Sunday of October at 4:30 PM and were conducted by Julius Stulberg. Stulberg was interviewed in the Kalamazoo Gazette for its October 29th, 1944 edition and gave comments on the recital's "dual purpose." The 1943 recital was also written about in the Gazette and even featured a copy of the expected program for the night. Both events are titled "Young Artists' Recital" and were performed at the Civic Auditorium. Most of the compositions performed are pieces from the 20th century or Romantic period, with some from the Classical and Baroque.
