The pamphlet contains information about treatment of African Americans by police in the City of Kalamazoo focusing on Beryl Wilson which happened in 1999. It gives specific information about the case. It also lists cases of racial profiling from 1994 to 1999. It also gives contact information for the Mayor, Robert Jones and the City Manager of Kalamazoo, Pat DiGiovanni and encourages people to write to them.

These pamphlets were put together by the Southwest Michigan Coalition against Racism and Police Brutality group for the public to be educated and take a stand against what was occurring in Kalamazoo. The group Southwest Michigan Coalition against Racism and Police Brutality was created to raise awareness within the Kalamazoo community about the arrests of African American drivers by police and then jailed unlawfully. The group wanted public support and people to join their group. Local members of the Kalamazoo community were active in this group by setting up protests, interviews, and newspaper articles. The group was located in Kalamazoo in the early 2000s. Currently, there is no updated news from this group since the early 2000s.

The pamphlet is .05 cubic feet and is an undated pamphlet for the Southwest Michigan Coalition against Racism and Police Brutality. The pamphlet measures 3-3/4 x 8-1/2 inches. The pamphlet is not bound just folded from a standard size paper. The pamphlet was typed and printed. It was printed in black and white with black ink. The pamphlet is printed on both sides and folded into thirds.

The pamphlet is in good condition and does not have any markings or tears on it. The paper is worn where the crease is from it being folded and unfolded over time. Some of the ink has faded in some spots.
