Scope and Contents
An ivory-colored scrapbook containing black and white photographs and handwritten letters addressed to Merze Tate. The photographs show Thelma Davidson Adair standing in the living room of her room in New York, and holding her newborn son, Robert. One photograph also includes her spouse, Howard "Eugene" Adair. Most of the letters were written between 1944 and 1950 by Thelma. During that time she pursued and completed her Ph.D. in education and became a professor of Education at Queens...
