The ledger contains percentage sheets, bridge and transfer charges and division sheets relating to the Pere Marquette Railroad.
Scope and Contents The Pere Marquette Railroad was formed in 1900 as a result of a merger between the Chicago and West Michigan, the Flint and Pere Marquette, and the Detroit Grand Rapids and Western Railroads. In 1947 Pere Marquette formally merged with the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad. These ledgers, which were bound by Dean Hicks Co. Grand Rapids, contain a record of the injuries and deaths that took place from 1912-1915. The 1912-1913 ledger begins with injury number A4539 and ends with injury number R4699....
