Biography
The Vicksburg Ladies Library Association was organized in 1879 with Temperance Hall as their first meeting place. In January 1902, Mrs. Fanny M. Bair had a library built and donated it to the Vicksburg Ladies Library Association, which by that time the membership was 63 women.

In January 1902, Mrs. Fanny M. Bair had a library built and donated it to the Vicksburg Ladies Library Association, by that time membership was 63 women. The library assembly room served the village well for many functions. On the evening of Tuesday, February 9th, 1909, the ladies literary club in the Fanny M. Bair Library had the tables beautifully decorated with smilax, and red and white roses and carnations. Mrs. Fanny Young Lindsay sang two selections in her most pleasing manner, and...
