Jacob Hampton Civil War Letter
The collection contains one letter dated November 13, 1864 by Civil War soldier Jacob Hampton (1847-1929) from Pavilion, Michigan while enlisted in the First Regiment Michigan Engineers and Mechanics and addressed to his sister while stationed in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In the letter, he discusses daily life and reports on Confederate troop movements.

This collection is composed of two documents from Kalamazoo County Michigan, dated around 1923. One is an anonymous paper by a Kalamazoo County Klansman and another is a blank potential membership card. The majority of text lists the fifteen principles of the Klu Klux Klan including the Christian religion and White supremacy.
Margaret Poinier Bird
This collection is composed of 4 diaries detailing the daily activities of Margaret Poinier Bird, her husband, Charles Harold Bird, and their two daughters Margaret and Barbra Bird. The diaries document their travels across the United States and most of Europe from 1930 - 1932. In addition there is a large scrap book with many postcards and some photographs from their travels.

He wrote for the Kalamazoo News newspaper in the 1980s.
