News Clippings, October 1961
Scope and Contents
Newspaper clippings of particular interest to the Upjohn Company, contracted by clipping organizations to be cut out and sent by subject or by date, originating from particular papers throughout the country. Of particular interest are the U.S. news clippings from 1959-1963 which contain a great many news stories of the Kefauver and F.D.C. price hearings, as well as articles about the patent being issued for Orinase in March 1961, Monase removed from market due to link with blood disease in March 1962, and the medical research center being built at Jackson Prison in July 1963.
