Jacob Imerzel was born November 21, 1865 in Schirdam, Netherlands. He came to the United States in 1874. A carpenter by trade, he married Lillian F. Reed (1870-1893) on April 30, 1889 in Kalamazoo, MI. Lillian and Jacob had two children Lyla G. (1890-1947) and Clyde D. (1892-?). After Lillian’s death, Jacob married Jennie James (1873-1958) on November 27, 1895 in Kalamazoo. Jennie and Jacob had one child Leo James (1896-1974). Jacob died December 7, 1956 in Kalamazoo, MI.

Dr. Edward Peyton Wilbur was born on November 20, 1873 in Jacksonville, IL. He graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1897. He married Mary T. Cobb (January 26, 1880- Dec. 1963) on April 12, 1900 in Kalamazoo, MI. Edward and Mary had two sons Edward C. (1901-1993) and James Taylor (1907-1981).

Dr. Wilbur was on the board of trustees of the Kalamazoo State Hospital from 1917-1922, a member of the state hospital commission from 1922-1937, and was chief of staff at Borgess Hospital from 1925-1938. He retired from medicine in 1947. Dr. Wilbur died on September 29, 1963.

Dr. Ralph Bryan Fast was born on October 24, 1897 in St. Marys, OH. He married Ruth Elizabeth Shepard (11/30/1896- 11/20/1979) on August 19, 1924. They had three children. Martha L. (b. 1927), Philip S. (b.1932), and Stephen H. (b. 1933). According to Kalamazoo City directories, Ralph began practicing medicine at 1410 Kalamazoo Trust Building with Edward Wilbur around 1930. Ralph died in Kalamazoo, MI on March 26, 1959.
