The collection concerns the construction in of the Merrill and McCourtie Block in Kalamazoo on west side of South Burdick just north of W. South Street during 1885 and 1886.

Physical Description
The collection amounts to 0.05 cubic feet and is composed of 4 documents. Two are on legal sized paper, 8 ½” x 14” and are handwritten. One is four pages, with writing on three. The back page is extended 2 ¼” over the front page and secured by two metal rings. The second legal size document is composed of two pages with writing on one of the pages, back to back. The third document is a single page size 8” x 10” with writing on one side and the fourth document also is a single page 10 ¾”x 8 ¼” with red writing on one side. The documents are in good shape and are still legible although there is some dirt and wear on some of the creases. There also is some tearing along the creases on the two single pages.
