News Clippings
This material consists almost exclusively of newspaper clippings from clipping agencies from 1959-1968. The U. S. clippings primarily cover issues such as financial reports, major drug failures and triumphs, government hearings, litigation, and personnel changes at the V. P. level and above. The local clippings on the other hand deal with more intimate issues such as pollution, land zoning issues, and building contracts.
Research and Development
This series of research records is primarily composed of experimental data taken from deep-tank fermentation of compounds from the mid-1950's to late 1960's. Some of this data relates to drugs that eventually came into fruition such as Circulin and Edomycin, but other records are more obtuse and perhaps did not make it to that stage of development.
