This collection is composed of thirty-two diaries written by Andrew Jackson Easton (1834-1920) from 1869-1914. The diaries detail the daily life of Andrew, a general farmer who lived in Berrien Center, Michigan. The winter months focus on activities such as woodcutting and selling. The warmer months focus on farming activities for both livestock and produce. The fall months focus on picking produce and harvesting crops.

This collection contains photographs and other materials relating to the Kalamazoo State Hospital Nursing Program that belonged to Anna Poole Ferguson, dating between 1903 and 1965. She was the aunt of Sue Baden, who gave these items to her friend Dorothy Barstow, after her death. Both Dorothy and Sue were graduates of the Borgess School of Nursing.
