The collection is composed of ledgers, photographs, catalogs, promotional material and other miscellaneous items from the Doubleday Brothers and Company which produced blank books, forms for schools, banks and governments and stationery and also printed and sold office supplies and furniture. The company began in 1898 and left Kalamazoo in 2005. It exists as a digital printing company called Fidlar Doubleday and is located in Iowa.

Leonidas Farm Ledger
It is not certain who the people recorded in this ledger are or to whom it belonged. C. L. Bower is probably Charles Bower. He was born in Germany in 1831 and immigrated to the US in 1867 where he worked as a Farm Laborer in Paw Paw, Michigan.

Miscellaneous Ledgers Collection
This collection is made up of two ledgers and two documents found in one of the ledgers. The first ledger the dates range from 1906 to about 1918. The second ledger ranges from 1913 to 1918. The two documents were found in the second ledger. These two ledgers were written by different people.
