The ledger belonged to Oliver J Bloom (1861-1933) of Parkville, St Joseph Co. Michigan. According to Census Reports Bloom was a farmer in St Joseph Co. where he married Dora Clark of Ohio in 1893. The couple had four children together, two sons and two daughters. Bloom documented transactions, mainly of hardware and tools, in the ledger.
