Calhoun County Justice of the Peace Docket
This docket was purchased from John I. Herrick who was a bookseller and stationer who operated out of Detroit. The docket itself contains many civil cases spanning over a three year period. They are the cases tried by John Balkeom. The cases he tired are civil cases that give a brief description of the case, and damages and costs awarded. On the bottom of many of the case pages is the date that the payment was made.
